Elvex Prolar pads have been tested by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for conformance to ASTM F-1897-98. This test establishes a pass or fails in regards to the 2,500 feet per minute requirement. Separate testing has established a performance threshold of approximately 3,000 feet per minute. This indicates that Prolar in its current state of development provides a substantial safety margin, as compared to the requirements of the ASTM standard.
