Outrigger Pads

4 Tips for safely using outriggers pads.

  1. Check the ground – make sure the soil is smooth, flat and compact. Uneven or soft areas will prevent the load from being evenly dispersed.
  2. Inspect the outrigger – look for cracks, or any compromises to material integrity. Clean away any debris. The outrigger should be clean and flat.
  3. Center your outrigger – make sure your outrigger is centered on the pad for maximum ground bearing strength.
  4. Inspect for deflection – if excessive deflection is occurring, STOP, because the ground is not suitable to bear the load.
