Telescopic Measuring Stick

Fiberglass measure sticks are commonly used by utilities to measure the height of electric powerlines. These measure sticks telescope to the desired height while graduation markings show the height in feet and inches. To avoid the dangers of contact with energized lines, these sticks are constructed of high grade fiberglass and are tested to 100,000 volts per foot. Sticks should always be cleaned, waxed, and tested to insure they’re safe for high voltage contact.
